SUNDAY 9/8/24 “THE LIFELINE is the Truth” – I John 4:1-6
Thinking about it:
As we enter the age of “A.I.” (Artificial Intelligence) many bad actors are utilizing this technology as a way to scam people. They are using images, video, and audio from social media and creating very credible media “clones” of people. They will make fraudulent calls or video posts to friends and family using the “digital imposter” to declare a financial crisis that needs money sent immediately. They often will obtain account information in transactions that they can then exploit to further pilfer the victims.
- What makes this such a successful and lucrative tactic?
- When someone receives a troubling and suspicious message like this, what are ways they can dig and uncover the fraudulent effort before falling prey to it?

- What are the “fraudulent” voices in our world that try to dupe us spiritually?
- Why are they so effective in their efforts?
- II Corinthians 11:13-15
- How do we recognize the voice of Truth in the midst of it all?
- What is key in verse 2 that separates people who believe Jesus was a simply an historical person and/or prophet from the Truth of who Jesus is?
- What resource do we have to provide effective spiritual “fraud prevention” in our lives?

THE LIFELINE IS THE TRUTH!
PRAY: Thank God for shouting in the Voice of Truth through the death and resurrection of Jesus, THE CHRIST!!! Thank Him for being an intimate source of that voice through the Holy Spirit! Commit to seek Him directly in the midst of many false voices trying to “defraud” you spiritually!
