When a child is adopted by a family, they all look forward to the “finalization” of the adoption. In this moment, after all the signing of the papers, the family court judge presiding over the case reads the following binding declaration:
“ (Adoptee) is declared to be the child of (Adoptive parents) and shall be regarded and treated in all respects as their own lawful child. They shall sustain towards (Adoptee) and (Adoptee) towards them the legal relationship of parent and child with all the rights and all the duties of natural parents including full inheritance rights. And the name of the child shall henceforth be (Adoptive family name). By the authority vested in me, it is hereby declared that (adoptee) is a member of the (Adoptive) family.”

PRAY: Thank God for His Love lavished on you, and His lavish Love IN us for each other. Ask Him in what ways you are too much of a “lone-wolf”… confess any level of self-priority and loneliness you have chosen to dwell in. Ask God to help you be a vital member of His “household.” Commit to be live in community with your FAITH FAMILY!
